‘We Can Stop It’ Anti-Rape Campaign Welcomes New Laws
Scotland has seen a recent change in their laws which has authorities in the country seeking to get the word out. The “We Can Stop It” anti-rape campaign by Police Scotland spreads the message that sex without consent is rape.
For the first time in the country’s history, new laws now state that consent can be withdrawn at any time — a long overdue clarification. Additionally, sexual assaults on men are now also defined as rape.
Officials are hoping to bring about a change in the country’s culture and be a beacon of change to others by using personal statements from men emphasizing the absolute necessity of consent at all times.
